Disposals & Acquisitions
Zeus has a strong reputation for advising on the sale of companies for both corporate owners and private equity houses. We are uniquely placed to provide an unbiased and independent review of a range of potential exit routes, including trade sale, private equity and IPO. Where appropriate, we can also manage a multi-track sale process, assessing all options simultaneously.
In addition, we are able to identify and access potential overseas buyers through the global M&A network of over 50 leading independent corporate finance boutiques.
We manage all aspects of the sale process for our clients, including:
- Providing upfront, clear advice around potential valuation, with detailed analysis of comparable businesses and transactions supported by the specific sector insights of our team of research analysts;
- Advice on pre-sale grooming of the business to help maximise the value achieved;
- Preparing a sales memorandum, highlighting the key value drivers for the business and provide support on preparing financial projections;
- Approaching and negotiating with potential buyers on price and other key deal terms.
As a team, we have significant experience in leading the acquisition process. We advise both public and privately-owned businesses on valuation, bidding tactics and negotiation with the target’s shareholders.
As well as this, we actively support clients to develop their acquisition strategy. Thanks to our deep sector knowledge, extensive networks across public and private markets and research capability, we are ideally placed to identify potential acquisition targets and evaluate all benefits of a transaction.
Where appropriate, we also assist our clients to finance acquisitions, through raising both equity and debt funding. This draws on our relationships across many UK private equity funders, public market investors, banks, credit funds and family offices.
Our experience covers a range of transactions, including the acquisition of private businesses, public company offers and the acquisition of distressed businesses through an administration process.
