AcceptZeus Capital has advised London-based AIM-listed company CentralNic, the global internet platform that derives revenue from the subscription sales of domain names and web services, on its $36m acquisition of Codewise and its associated £30m equity fundraise.
Codewise, which consists of the underlying Voluum and Zeropark businesses, is headquartered in Krakow, Poland, and provides services to domain name owners and website operators so that they can generate recurring income from the monetisation of traffic to their websites, as well as tools for online marketers to acquire traffic and customers, and to manage and optimise their online marketing activities.
The acquisition will expand CentralNic’s monetisation segment following on from the acquisition of Team Internet in December 2019 and will both build market share in this segment and expand CentralNic’s monetisation suppliers and customers. It will also allow the company to provide sophisticated online marketing tools to its customers who procure domain names and other web services from CentralNic’s existing businesses.
The purchase has been funded by a £30m equity fundraise in which Zeus Capital acted as joint broker and joint bookrunner.
A cross discipline team at Zeus Capital comprising Corporate Finance professionals Nick Cowles, Jamie Peel and Josh Bean and Broking and Sales professionals Dominic King, Rupert Woolfenden, Victoria Ayton, Sophia Levine and Alexandra Scovarza combined to provide M&A support, NOMAD support and equity fundraising services.
